ENFSI Monopoly 2012 project meeting in Vilnius

ENFSI Annual meeting 2015

The SFSB Director M.Čentoricka took part in the ENFSI 27th Annual Meeting which was held in Pontoise (France) from 20-22 May 2015. The meeting was hosted by the Forensic Science Institute of the French Gendarmerie. Among other things, the ENFSI members discussed the future location of the ENFSI Secretariat and came to a decision that the next host of the Secretariat will be the Forensic Science Institute from Wiesbaden, Germany.

EDEWG Steering Committee meeting in Lisbon

The Head of the Document Investigation Department of the SFSB participated in the Steering Committee meeting of the ENFSI Document Experts Working Group (EDEWG), which was held from 9 to 10 April 2015 in Lisbon. In 2014 the Head of the Document Investigation Department of the SFSB was elected as a member of the Steering Committee of the ENFSI EDEWG, taking charge of quality management. The Working Group consists of 57 members from 31 countries.

4th ENFSI APST Meeting in Riga

The 4th meeting of the ENFSI Animal, Plant and Soil Traces expert working group (APST) was held in Riga, Latvia from 15th to 17th April 2015. The meeting was organized by the Department of Biological and Chemical Investigations of the State Forensic Science Bureau. 35 forensic experts and scientists from 11 European countries, Australia and Russia attended the meeting.

ENFSI Monopoly 2012 project meeting in Tbilisi

A forensic expert from the Technical Investigation Department of the SFSB took part in the meeting of the ENFSI Monopoly 2012 project “Towards European Forensic Science through Best Practice Manuals” working group which was held in Tbilisi (Georgia) from 24 to 25 March 2015 and was hosted by the LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau of Georgia. Within the framework of this project the State Forensic Science Bureau as a partner organization along with the Estonian, Georgian and Romanian colleagues and under the management of the Lithuanian Forensic Science Institute participates in development of the Best Practice Manual for the Road Accident Reconstruction Examination.

Participation in IT forensics training course

Two IT forensic experts of the SFSB from 23 to 27 February 2015 took part in an IT forensics training course organized by the Netherlands Forensic Institute. The training course covered data analysis, chip forensics, mobile phone and hard disc forensics. Capacity building in the field of IT forensics is one of the top priorities of the SFSB.
