The SFSB Biological and Chemical Investigations Department organized the experience exchange seminar of Baltic forensic experts on the examination of biological and chemical objects, which took place from May 31 to June 1, 2023. The aim of the seminar was to promote the cooperation of forensic experts and the exchange of experience in the study of chemical and biological objects. The topics of expert training opportunities, pollution risk assessment and anti-pollution measures in laboratories were discussed at the seminar. VTEB experts presented a new type of forensic examinations in Latvia - plant and animal DNA examination.
