On 6 – 7 February 2023 forensic experts from the Norwegian State Criminal Investigation Service KRIPOS visited the State Forensic Science Bureau. During the visit, experts exchanged knowledge and experience in the field of examination of ink and gunshot residues.
The visit was held within the framework of the European Economic Area Grants 2014–2021 programme "International Police Cooperation and Combating Crime".
The total funding for the project "Strengthening of the capacity of forensic system and inspection of the site of the event" is estimated at 2 680 000 EUR, of which the EEA Grants funding of 85% is 2 278 000 EUR and the national co-financing of 15% is 402 000 euro, complemented by a grant of 171 000 EUR from Fund for bilateral relations under the Norway Grants Programme. The project is to be implemented until April 30 2024.
