SFSB Deputy Director R.Apinis and Quality Manager I.Jurģe together with representatives from the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Interior, State Police, State Policy Criminalistics Department and State Forensic Medical Examinations Centre on 27-28 October 2022 visited Norwegian National Criminal Investigation Service KRIPOS.
The visit was held within the framework of the European Economic Area Grants 2014–2021 programme "International Police Cooperation and Combating Crime".
The total funding for the project "Strengthening of the capacity of forensic system and inspection of the site of the event" is estimated at 2 680 000 EUR, of which the EEA Grants funding of 85% is 2 278 000 EUR and the national co-financing of 15% is 402 000 euro, complemented by a grant of 171 000 EUR from Fund for bilateral relations under the Norway Grants Programme. The project is to be implemented until April 30 2024.
